The Avett Brothers are my pick to click.....
and their new album is coming out next Tuesday, 9/29/09.
It is produced by Rick Rubin, who also produced the last Johnny Cash albums, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Tom Petty, Neil Diamond and others.....should be interesting.
Next week will be "Avett Brothers Week"......
and the Neil Diamond player will be retired to the bottom of the Blog page with several others that you may play at your leisure.
Hopefully you will enjoy.

Big dilemma here this week.....
is it Phillip or Philip?
We even asked a frazzled Alex Trebek....
and his judges could not come up with a solution.....
Sooooooooo for the first time in Tuesday Trivia history....
we have TWO GRAND PRIZE winners this week!!
Tim McNally and the team of Joe/Nancy will each take home the prize(s) this week.
This was an unprecedented week considering I had more correct answers than ever....unfortunately the first in wins. Although it had nothing to do with Apple Computers.....it had EVERYTHING to do with Apple Records of which George was a founder and Phil was the A/R director.
Obviously no one was fooled by a long-haired (digitally flipped) George Harrison and Phil Spector.
I will tune up my game next week and will prevail over you all!!
Phil Spector....
the man behind the Wall of Sound (and under the wigs!)
Wrote or co-wrote several great hits from the 50's/60's....
(OK.....forget that last one...but not bad....it's on You Tube)
But his first # 1 hit in 1958 was for his teen group called the "Teddy Bears"....named after the Elvis song.....with Phil on guitar (minus wig)...and his fellow classmates at the time, singing.
To Know Him....Is To Love Him.
George Harrison......
(with sister Louise)
