--Was a neighbor to the real Mr. Rogers back in his PA days.

--In the 1957 Derby....he stood up too early and thought he had
won the race.....but misjudged the finish line and lost
--Involved in a solo drunk driving accident where he rolled his
Ford Bronco and was paralyzed from the neck down.
Sued Ford Motor Company and settled for $1 million dollars.
--Andy Warhol painted him back in the '70s
--Met him twice in person.....drinking a beer at the pharmacy
across from Churchill Downs both times.
Once before his accident and once after.
