John got it half right.....he guessed the correct location.
Tuesday's photo was of the "Cash Office" at the Marshall Field's store on State Street.
A waterfall of selected pneumatic vacuum tubes connected the cash office with all of the different departments in the store. Therefore saving trips between registers and the safe.
To all you others.....better luck next week.
(Although I think Mom had the correct answer again....but her Irish-Catholic guilt wouldn't let her win 3 weeks in a row!!)
