Mr. Daniel McNally (son) was the first one in this week with
the one and only Mr. George Michael Steinbrenner III!!
--Mr. "Red/White/Blue" was born on July 4th!
--not only a Buckeye....but was an assistant to Woody Hayes.
--also an Assistant Football coach at Northwestern and Purdue!
--attended Culver Military Academy in Howe, IN.
--bought the Cleveland Pipers which was an ABL Basketball team.
--hired the first African-American basketball manager in professional basketball (1960)
--fired him two weeks later and replaced him with Billy Martin (just kidding)
--2009....George Steinbrenner H.S. opened in Lutz, Florida.
