Dias Cuatro y Cinco.....

Was watching Tom Skilling on WGN tonight talking about the high temps for Thursday staying in the mid to high 20's.....and thought you would like to know what the view from my lounge chair has been for the last two days.....brrrrrrrrr!

I could have saved a lot of money by just paying someone at home to drive Katie around on a golf cart all week.....this is her favorite vacation activity next to taking family pictures!

You won't find this listed in the Activity section of the Grand Mayan Welcoming Guide.....
riding the elevators with your familia while trying to take a picture in the mirror with your camera. (Danny was the photog here) Finally another couple got in and took Dan's camera and snapped several shots of us without the mirror.......wooooohoooooo......good times!

Visited downtown Puerto Vallarta today for some sightseeing and crap buying at the flea market. This is a shot of the Lady of Guadalupe Church just blocks from the ocean.

Very ornate interior with high arching windows and gold leaf detail painting accents throughout. Church was originally a small chapel erected in 1903 and was enlarged again in 1915....but due to wars and earthquakes was not finished until 1952, with it's famous crown installed in 1963. Crown was destroyed in a 1995 earthquake....and recently replaced.

Way cool light fixture that I would like in my kitchen.....
but I will first have to install a 30' kitchen ceiling.

The place is decked out for Christmas.....watched as a semi-trailer unloaded thousands of yellow and red poinsettias to be placed around the resort. Just not the same.... carolling in shorts?!
Poinsettias are native to Mexico...and have over 100 varieties available.
Click below to find out more useless poinsettia trivia.....

Dan leaning against a tree in a magical Mayan Garden....ok so maybe not......
Just a cool wall mural at the restaurant we were at last night.....where the waiter mixed up the "virgin" margaritas with the "loaded" margaritas....Katie and Molly almost had a night on the town!

Molly says "cheese"......
Molly makes Katie say "cheese"......

OK....so maybe Katie has had enough family pictures for this week.
