- Has a Hall Membership Card....even a Canuck version.
- Signed as a free agent.....went into the Army the following 2 years....came back and pitched in a 15 inning marathon in which he struck out 25 players...and hit the game-winning single.
- (obviously no middle-relievers back in the day.)
- Spent a lot of years in the minors....
- MLB record was 0-4
- One wife.....they celebrate 60 years this year.
- not known for his "political correctiveness" ( is that a word?)
